Stacking STOOL's into a Christmas tree plantation was a huge succes with the kids.
Many joined us to celebrate the successful launch of our first products in more than 30 of the best furniture and children stores in Denmark. Guests were invited to play, build and ride on the 256 exhibited stools, which spontaneously turned into a Stool racing competition among the many invited children! We'd like to call it the Golden Stool Cup.
Child physiotherapist Louise Hærvig recommends STOOL as one of the best pieces of children furniture, which both inspires play and supports child development. In the Danish magazine 'Vi Forældre', she describes how A Stool is not only functional, fun to play with but also helps children develop their motor skills. But she also believes it appeals to many parents and adults, because STOOL is such a beautiful piece of furniture.
A CHAIR, A TABLE and A STOOL are now ready for delivery. At the Stockholm Furniture Fair - Stand BG05 - our new Sales Manager Chim Scavenius Sonne-Schmidt (previously engaged at Jesper Holm Copenhagen A/S) will start taking orders. On our stand you will also be able to see our first prototype of A WARDROBE, new member of the A-series.
COLLECT Furniture exhibited at the Danish Design Days in Oslo, Norway, in an event organized by the Danish Embassy in Norway. Our participation in this event was the first step of the export strategy developed by COLLECT Furniture in close collaboration with the Danish Export Council as part of their Born Creative program.
At the Copenhagen furniture festival, COLLECT furniture and Copenhagen joinery / Københavns Møbelsnedkeri (www.kbhsnedkeri.dk) build the first specimen of furniture '45' in one hour with a curious and attentive audience. This event transformed into a lively street party, where the furniture '45' was won by a young boy.
During the Copenhagen International Fashion Fair spring 2007, COLLECT furniture and the children fashion company KATVIG were chosen to decorate the entrance area of the children fashion zone. It was designed as a village of cardboard houses dressed in KATVIG's many characteristic textile designs and streets where both adults and children could take a ride on A Stool, enlarged for this event. The stool family with bench and table were used as a lay-by area for the visitors to the village and the fair.
COLLECT furniture was founded when Frederic Collette exhibited at the Formland Design Fair, spring of 2006. Here the prototypes of A Chair and A Table were shown for the first time and nominated for the Formland Design prize.
